Special benefit show for Resonance FM, featuring Art Terry performing Self Isolation Songbook Extrapolations Part 1/ on piano, voice and cassette recorder.

The Self Isolation Songbook was recorded during the first UK lockdown that began in March 2020. Beginning on March 27th, Art Terry composed and recorded a song a day for 52 days consecutively. A new video by Helena Smith was published online each day to accompany the recordings.

The 52 videos now comprise the Self Isolation Songbook film.

Some of the ideas for the 52 songs came from a stash of long buried cassettes that Art rediscovered at the beginning of lockdown. The live improvised Extrapolations will incorporate these fragmented cassette recordings with piano, using interdeterminancy and the ring shout form.
